At last, a British DVD label that you can trust. Sanctuary's Laureate Collection is the nearest thing to America's Criterion Collection and, in one way at least, it's better. We don't have to pay the high prices that Criterion charge. I've bought Laureate's CHARADE, ROYAL WEDDING, SECOND CHORUS and the incredibly well-produced MEET JOHN DOE. Next month, I'm going to buy SUDDENLY and THE BIG TREES.

Your kind support for the Laureate Collection is very much appreciated. It's flattering to be compared to The Criterion Collection. We do, of course, have our own agenda and our own standards to aim for. But after just one year of operation - and with a minimum of advertising - it's encouraging to find people like yourself taking the time to compliment us. I think a good deal of the credit should also go to our distributors, Sanctuary, for ensuring that our product gets into the better stores around the country.
