David Raskin, who composed the soundtack for the otherwise silent Modern Times as well as Laura, The bad and the Beautiful, Force of Evil (which I was only watching, and admiring, two nights ago) and many others, has died aged 92.

Jery Golgsmith and David Raskin within a month, the film industry loses two of its most talented and important movie soundtrack composers.

Thanks, James for pointing out the passing of these two highly talented gentlemen. I'm proud to say that I met both of them during my time in Hollywood in the 1970s. They both made their own firm impressions on the film industry. They will be sorely missed.
