While searching through Amazon.co.uk for the Fred and Ginger collection, I came across HOLIDAY INN and because it was Fred Astaire film, I decided to take a look at the customer reviews and found that it rated 5 stars. It's a musical I've known about for some years but never got around to seeing. So I decided to buy it.

This is one DVD of which I can say it's sheer perfection.
And, happily it's another Ken Barnes/Laureate production for Universal. From the opening moving menus through the special features ( two documentaries and super audio commentary from Ken that includes audio interviews with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire and great production background notes and cast & crew profiles )this is one of the best DVDs I've ever seen. And I must say that this has shown me also what a great singer and personality Bing Crosby was.

I've now got the Road To collection as well as the Fred and Ginger. All great buys but Holiday Inn is the tops.
