Dear Ken

I wonder why the Orson Welles film 'Chimes at Midnight' has been so neglected. With a sterling cast including John Gielgud and Margaret Rutherford, and an ever-popular story, I would have expected it to be widely available. Yet I can't find it anywhere. Considering the number of so-so films available in expensive DVD editions, is it too much to hope that this really good film might be given a really good release on DVD?

Best wishes

Dominic

Dominic,
You're absolutely right. "Chimes at Midnight" is an excellent film. Moreover, it was Orson's personal favourite.

I don't know what's happened to it, but when I get time I'll try to find out.

Ken
