Hi Andrew,
You've made a good point. William Powell was one of the most engaging actors of the 1930s and '40s. We've already had many requests for the Thin Man series with Myrna Loy. The Philo Vance films are somewhat lsser know but would, nevertheless, be very welcome.
I'll put some feelers out on this - and see what can be done.
The thing with the major companies is that they tend to concentrate on INSTANT profits and so they employ people who have little or no knowledge of movies because (a) they won't passionately involved and (b) they don't have to pay them too much money. But,in fact, there are many more classic film buffs out there in the market than they realise.
Hopefully, as the DVD market increases, these facts will come to light.
