I'm 19 and an avid collector of the great films of past.
They knew how to entertain, they had stars and directors who could hold an audience without resorting to vulgarity.
And I know for a fact that I'm not an isolated case.

Why is it then that a terrific box set like FRED AND GINGER
is out of stock within two weeks of its release. Don't Universal know when they've got a good thing? Did they really underestimate the demand there would be for this set?

Also why don't they do some high-profile advertising to let people know - not just about this but also the wonderful "Road" box and the Cary Grant. If it wasn't for the excellent Laureate website, I would never have known that these releases were available.

Come on Universal, wake up and tell the world. There's a lot more classic film buffs out here than you realise.

G.D.

Thanks Gwen Davies. Your enthusiasm is matched by others of your age. In fact, I'm convinced that the market for classic films is ten times bigger than it is right now.

The major film companies are coming round to this opinion too. So the future looks good.

Kind regards
Ken
