Dear Ryan,

I am really embarrassed and frustrated about all this plague of unrelated
spam that keeps flooding onto the website. I don't yet know what to do about it. We introduced a membership procedure that we hoped would put a stop to it, but still it comes.

There are several websites that have closed down because of it. But I don't really want to do that if I can help it. My colleagues and I will be giving some serious thought to finding a solution after the holidays

It would be terrible to close down the discussion forum because of some infantile people spamming it all the time!

One of the very best things about Laureate, aside from the quality of the product of course, is the way in which we have all interacted on this forum over the last few years. Sometimes I've bought (or not bought) films and CDs on the basis of others' comments.

It's also great to know the reasons behind certain decisions, eg why certain films aren't on DVD. And I love the fact that Mr Barnes responds in person - long may it continue.

Your support is much appreciated and I certainly intend to keep the site going. Hopefully there will be new protective measures that we can apply to combay the interference of these morons.
