Nice to see that on May 8, four Universal Double Feature DVDs
Rhythm On The Range/Rhythm On The River,
Emporer Waltz/A Connecticut Yankee,
Birth Of The Blues/Blue Skies,
The Bells Of St. Mary/Going My Way
will be released as Region 2/4/5 DVDs in the UK.
Shame it took them quite so long - I have had the first three for a couple of years now in the region 1 release, and Going My Way has only recently had a re-release.
Nevertheless - it is more Bing on DVD. |

Yes, the two Father O-Malleys sounds like a nice deal. Universal were unable to do these as a double in the U.S.A. because "Bells of St. Mary's"
belongs to RKO ( now Turner ).
I have also heard that there are plans to issue all of these doubles as a box set. Nice idea. but I doubt if there'll be any extras. |
