I remember seeing Suddenly and The Killing almost as well as I remember Rififi!
My wife, and I guess many thousands more, would like a DVD of The Nun's Story.
Any chance of that? |

Dear Ray,
Thank you so much for your note on classic films.
Our DVD of Suddenly has been very well received( especially by the Sinatra office in Los Angeles - who have taken it for the USA ). We don't have title to The Killing ( which was Stanley Kubrick's first commercial feature released in 1956 and starring Sterling Hayden, of course ).
We are, at this moment, producing a Special Edition DVD of Otto Preminger's "The Man With The Golden Arm"(1955) with Frank Sinatra in one of his best acting roles. For this presentation, we have an exclusive interview with composer Elmer Bernstein and some contributions from Sinatra Enterprises.
As for The Nun's Story - directed by Fred Zinnemann and starring Audrey Hepburn -an excellent film, this is a Warner Brothers copyright. So I think you should write to them.
We do have one Audrey Hepburn film in our catalogue - the classic thriller Charade - co-starring Cary Grant. In fact, it's our best seller.
There'll be more classic films on the way - but negotiation and production takes time. Within the next month or so, I hope to post some news items on the website.
Once again, many thanks for your interest.
Kind regards
Ken Barnes |
