I'm not sure whether it fits your criteria but Le Mans (1971) starring Steve McQueen is a film I have always enjoyed immensely and which would I think have the aural and visual stimulus to make a great DVD. It is one of the best films of its genre in my opinion.

There is ample opportunity to get hold of extras (check out the book about the making of the film 'A French Kiss With Death', by Michael Keyser, who would might be able to provide info and pictures).

For similar reasons Grand Prix (1966) would make a great DVD.

By the way, I don't restrict myself to motor racing related films and I am looking forward to watching my recently purchased Laureate edition of Charade.

I hope the venture is a success, it looks like it has all the right ingredients!

Dear Rob Olsen,
Thanks for getting in touch. Laureate will be broadening out throughout this year to include a wide range of titles.

The problem in meeting specific requests is always a difficult one depending, as it does, on the contractual availability of certain films. Sometimes it's possible to do a deal for a specific title but usually it means contracting an entire catalogue. And from a cost standpoint, this would be prohibitive.

However, I'll bear your thoughts in mind re. "Le Mans" and "Grand Prix" and see what can be done. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy "Charade" and it's various extras.

We are currently preparing a number of news items for the website and this will include announcements re. forthcoming titles.

Your interest is much appreciated.
Regards
Ken Barnes
